Carruades de Lafite is made by Château Lafite Rothschild. Its name comes from the Carruades plateau beside the château’s hill in Pauillac.
The estate describes traditional Bordeaux vinification in wooden, concrete and stainless-steel vats, followed by approximately 16 months in French oak. Carruades has its own identity, shaped by specific parcels and a higher proportion of Merlot than the Grand Vin.
