Winery
Château Mouton Rothschild lies in Pauillac, in Bordeaux’s Médoc. Baron Nathaniel de Rothschild acquired the property in 1853, when it took its current name.
The vineyard’s gravelly rises favour drainage and sun exposure. Gravel, sand and clay sit over a clay-limestone base, with Cabernet Sauvignon particularly suited to these soils.
